Noriaki is, no doubt, a giant of the Polish streetart. But he is also a true experimental force.
Consider: apart from the street, thet keeps on giving, especially in Berlin, the true breeding ground of the art's unconscious is the children's art. And it is Noriaki's daughter's input we would like to present, alongside the painterly trajectory of Noriaki himself, which was always young in spirit – so that our gamble is that this dialogue, such an interwoven tapestry of the father's and the daughter's threads, should be especially intriguing.
The child draws from within the drawing rather than toward a viewer. What results is not expression but unguarded gesture. For that reason the child’s line is often more contemporary than contemporary art itself. It has not yet entered the economy of self-awareness that governs artistic production. The line has no interest in being contemporary; it simply appears as it is, without the burden of performing a sensitivity.
