This Friday, we’ll be showing two drawings by @brouwer_giel at the gallery
Both come from a slight disturbance in the painterly continuum – a moment in which something shifted just enough for these works to be given. They hold something we would like to guard and carry forward, into the world, and also as a possibility for the artist himself.
It awoke in us something of a Gustonesque gravitas. We nod this way as well.
