INCOMPIUTO: La nascita di uno stile began as a Situationist-style prank – a provocative gesture meant to reframe Italy’s unfinished buildings – and gradually became serious. Developed through extensive field research by Alterazioni Video and Fosbury Architecture, the project documents abandoned and incomplete architectures across Italy and argues that incompletion itself has hardened into a style. What started as irony unfolds into a rigorous reading of modern ruination, where political inertia, excess production, and suspended futures converge into a distinct aesthetic and cultural condition.
