An illustrated study of Beverly Buchanan’s Marsh Ruins (1981).
Concrete forms placed in the coastal marshes of Georgia, partially hidden, slowly merging with their surroundings. The work exists between presence and disappearance, endurance and erosion.
The sculpture is not preserved.
It continues to change.
This volume follows the work in its ongoing state of ruination. Image and text trace a condition rather than a fixed object.
