Notes from the Penumbra is a zine of dream notations, written by Graham Thomas and accompanied by artwork from Chiemi Haraguchi. It is published by theNeverPress, an independent South London publishing atelier and creative collective.

Each note is captured as it was experienced: raw, unaltered and resistant to rational order. Together they preserve the spaces we fall through as we leave one place for another, a vast and minute landscape of uncertainty and catastrophic feeling, bereft of reason and structure.   

The artwork combines collage from 1970s Czech magazines on canvas with acrylic painting. Layer upon layer, the pieces echo the dreams themselves, where we only catch snippets and the subconscious runs deep. Each work holds those multilayered emotions.
