A domestic object slips out of function and into staging. The sink – doubled, displaced, floating, sinking – used to receive water, now it receives metaphysical tension. 

Verheij approaches the bathroom/kitchen as a constructed ideal. Not lived space, but catalog space – smooth, perfected, already formatted for desire. The tiled ground becomes a grid of projection, a surface where objects appear as if pre-selected, pre-approved.

Yet something loosens. The sink detaches from its logic. The scene begins to resemble a “kitchenscape”. Let us make that distance, let us walk that way.
