A pool is never just a pool. It is a measure of land, of desire, of extraction. Una Piscina Geopolítica begins with a count: 22,440 private swimming pools, one million square meters of water, hundreds of kilometres of edges – assembled into a silent, infrastructural image. Yet the setting is one of the driest regions in Spain. What follows is not documentation alone, but a spatial argument: water redirected from agriculture to leisure, territory reshaped into lifestyle, landscape turned into promise.

The publication unfolds as a dispersed research object – zine, map, insert, poster – where data, image and gesture circulate without hierarchy. Pools appear as markers of speculation, tourism, second homes, and the quiet violence of planning. What is at stake is not the object itself, but the regime it belongs to. A thin, precise work that reads territory through its surfaces.
