ITALO MODERN 2

Architecture in Northern Italy 1946–1976

The second volume continues this survey with a sharpened attention to elegance as a structural condition. The buildings remain precise, yet what comes forward here is a certain lightness – a confidence that allows form to hold without insistence.

It is a modernism that does not press its claims. Facades align, volumes settle, and detail is carried with restraint. Elegance appears not as addition, but as relation – between parts, materials, and use.
